Outcome Statement – BCHP Patient Portal

The BCHP Patient Portal mobile application has been successfully designed and launched, placing a strong emphasis on user‑centered design principles to enhance the patient experience. By offering a secure, intuitive, and convenient platform, the application allows patients and families to engage with their healthcare providers with greater ease and confidence.

Since deployment, the Patient Portal has achieved the following outcomes:

Streamlined Appointment Scheduling:

Parents and patients can now book appointments with their preferred BCHP physicians directly from their mobile devices in just a few steps, significantly reducing call wait times and scheduling delays.

Improved Patient Engagement:
The portal’s clear navigation, responsive design, and simplified interface have encouraged more patients to actively manage their care, resulting in higher portal adoption rates among parents and young adult users.

Expanded Access to Essential Services:
In addition to scheduling, patients can securely access personal health information, review upcoming appointments, and connect with BCHP offices as needed—all within one HIPAA‑compliant mobile experience.

Positive User Feedback:
Early survey responses show that patients appreciate the convenience of scheduling on the go, with many reporting reduced frustration and improved confidence in managing their children’s care.

Overall, the BCHP Patient Portal reflects BCHP’s commitment to innovation and patient‑centered service. By reducing administrative hurdles and creating a direct digital pathway to care, the portal strengthens the relationship between patients, families, and providers, setting a strong foundation for future enhancements such as telehealth integration and real‑time visit reminders.
